Ogie Alcasid has nothing but gratitude after his daughter Leila and their family united with her fiancé Curtismith’s family in a traditional “pamamanhikan.”

In a letter to Marcos presented last week to Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., pork producers said the emergency use of the ASF vaccine would result in the inoculation of 6.3 million piglets and fasteners.

The singer-songwriter gave a glimpse of the intimate gathering, which was attended by his wife Regine Velasquez and his ex-wife and Leila’s mom, Michelle van Eimeren, among others, through his Instagram page on Monday, Jan. 13.

In the caption, Ogie expressed his gratitude to those who were present, describing the pamamanhikan as an “emotional” one.

“Last night’s very emotional ‘pamanhikan,'” he said. “[Thank you] Lord for uniting all our Families to celebrate the love of Mito and Leila.”

“It was a wonderful blessing for all of us and we are all looking forward to the union of you both, Curtismith and Leila Alcasid. We love you both,” Ogie added.

Leila confirmed that she’s dating Curtismith, whose real name is Mito Fabie, back in 2019. The couple has been living together since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ogie previously admitted having initial misgivings about Leila moving in with Curtismith. At the time, Ogie said he would rather have his children live with him for as long as they can, but that he wouldn’t butt heads with Leila because she was old enough to make her own decisions.

Leila and Curtismith announced their engagement in September 2024.

Aside from Leila, Ogie has another daughter with Van Eimeren named Sarah.
