The Sacramento Kings obtained veteran center Jonas Valanciunas from the Washington Wizards for forward Sidy Cissoko and two second-round NBA picks, ESPN reported on Wednesday.

The transaction was the second on Wednesday for the Wizards ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline. They also dealt forward Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks for forward Khris Middleton as part of a package of players and draft picks.

In a statement sent to the Inquirer, the Consumers Union of the Philippines (CUP) said their group is surprised and sad to know of the additional taxes on goods and services enjoyed by ordinary Filipinos.

Preliminary data from the agency showed the consumer price index slowed to 1.9 percent year on year in September, easing from 3.3 percent in August and 6.1 percent in 2023.
