Ireland will fly to Zimbabwe for a multi-format series that gets underway with a one-off Test match, starting from Thursday, February 6. (More Cricket News)

Zimbabwe will host Ireland for the very first time in an one-off Test, and the match at the Queen’s Sports Club will also mark the only second meeting between the two sides in the red-ball format. The first one was held in July 2024, where Ireland won by four wickets in Belfast. 

"It is a great honour to be nominated for the FIH Player of the Year Award again," the Indian defender stated in a Hockey India release.

The Test match will be followed by a three-match ODI and T20I series that will be hosted at the Harare Sports Club.

“We are delighted to welcome Ireland for what promises to be an exciting and competitive tour,” Zimbabwe Cricket MD, Givemore Makoni was quoted as saying by the ICC.

“Hosting two full tours in quick succession is a testament to our commitment to providing our players with regular international cricket and to our efforts in growing the game in Zimbabwe,” he added.
