April 15: SRH Break Record For Highest Total In IPL History - Again!

Three weeks after breaking the record for the highest IPL total ever, SRH were at it again, creating havoc and overhauling their own record. Travis Head slammed a 39-ball hundred – the fastest of the 2024 edition and the fourth fastest ever in the IPL – and coupled with a 31-ball 67 from Heinrich Klaasen and cameos from Aiden Markram (32 off 17 balls) and Abdul Samad (37 off 10 balls), powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to 287/3 in their 20 overs.

SRH blasted 159 runs in the second half of their innings, which were the third-highest number of runs scored in the last 10 overs of an innings in the IPL behind RCB’s 172 against Gujarat Titans at Bengaluru in 2016 and Kings XI Punjab’s 162 vs Chennai Super Kings in Cuttack in 2014.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru put up a show as well, with Dinesh Karthik’s 83 off 35 deliveries the standout performance of the chase. However, they eventually ended with 262/7, falling 25 runs short. The match witnessed an aggregate of 549 runs, which was the highest aggregate ever, not only in the IPL but in all T20 cricket.

April 3: KKR Blast IPL’s Second 270-Plus Total

Barely a week after the Sunrisers smashed 277 for 3 against the Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad, the Knight Riders lit up Visakhapatnam with another batting show for the ages. Sunil Narine smashed 85 off just 39 deliveries at the top of the order and with cameos from Andre Russell and Rinku Singh, powered KKR to a massive 272/7.

April 20, 27: T20 Cricket, Please Welcome Jake Fraser-Mcgurk

Jake Fraser-McGurk hammered two 15-ball fifties against the Sunrisers and Mumbai Indians within a week, lighting up the IPL with his dazzling stroke-play. They were the joint third-fastest half-centuries in IPL history. The highlight of both the performances was the combined 13 sixes hit by the new England sensation.

April 26: It Was Raining Sixes At Eden Gardens

IPL 2024 was a season which saw a record number of sixes being hit, with most teams breaking their personal records. As many as five encounters witnessed 30-plus sixes this season, with the clash between KKR and PBKS at Eden Gardens at the top of the pack with 42 maximums. Jonny Bairstow smashed nine sixes in the match and was followed by Shashank Singh (8) and Phil Salt (6).

The India-Pakistan hockey rivalry has lost its sheen in recent times. Hockey in Pakistan has been in a freefall for the last decade or so while Indians have made a tremendous comeback in the same time period. The two countries used to rule world hockey at one point and the seeds for it were sown during the British rule in India.

The team led by Ammad Butt, finally secured their first victory with a 2-1 win over Japan and then delivered a decisive 5-1 win against China, to enter the semi-finals. Their final pool match ended in a narrow 2-1 loss to India.

pragmatic123 slot April 28: Will Jacks Announces Himself In The IPL

Will Jacks announced himself in the IPL with a 41-ball ton against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. Chasing a stiff 201fb777, Jacks partnered with Virat Kohli and blasted an unbroken 166-run stand in just 74 deliveries to power RCB to a thumping win by nine wickets in 16 overs. Jack’s hundred was the second-fastest of the season and the fifth-fastest ever in the IPL.
